Tube Map Walks: TfL Rail
This morning's walk was a trip along one of the new additions to the Tube Map - TfL Rail. Stating outside of zone 9 in the 'special fares apply' zone at Shenfield, I then headed to zone 1 via the newly branded stations, ending in Liverpool Street. The highlight of the walk was finding another Edward VIII Pillar Box - these are quite rare as due to his abdication he was King for less than a year.
TfL Rail started operating on 31st May 2015, when the Liverpool Street to Shenfield stopping service was transferred from Abellio Greater Anglia, in 2017 it will be transferred to Crossrail. By the end of 2019 the whole route will open connect Reading and Heathrow in the east to Shenfield and Abbey Wood in the west.
Distance: around 23.5 miles.
