Northern

Decided to head out today and finish the Northern line section of my challenge - so starting in the north, I walked down the High Barnet Branch, detouring slightly to take in Mill Hill East, through Central London via the Bank Branch, and finished at Kennington in the south.

Not only does the Northern line have the longest continuous tunnel on the network, running from East Finchley to Morden via Bank (a total of 17.3 miles), it also has the deepest station - Hampstead which runs down to 58.5 metres, and the greatest elevation above ground level at Dollis Brook Viaduct over Dollis Road in Mill Hill (rising a total of 18 metres).

Distance: around 17.5 miles.
