Tube Map Walks: Northern
With the London Marathon in full swing, I chose to do one of my Northern line walks in order to avoid (or mostly avoid) the marathon route. Starting in the north, I walked down the Edgware Branch, through Central London via the Charing Cross Branch, and finished at Morden in the south.
Despite its name, the Northern line does not actually serve the northernmost stations on the network, though it does serve the southernmost station (Morden), as well as 16 of the system's 29 stations south of the River Thames. There are 50 stations on the line - 31 of which I visited today.
Distance: around 22 miles.
