Tube Map Walks: Circle, District, Hammersmith & City, and Metropolitan
Circle, District, Hammersmith & City, and Metropolitan
Today was the turn of the Circle line, or the spiral line as it should be called now. Starting at Edgware Road I went anticlockwise around the line, via Paddington, South Kensington and The City, along the top passing through Edgware Road and Paddington again, before heading down to Hammersmith.
The Circle line is 17 miles (27 km) long with 35 stations. Much of its track and all of its stations are shared with the other London Underground sub-surface lines: from Hammersmith to just before Aldgate by the Hammersmith & City line, from Baker Street to Aldgate by the Metropolitan line and from Tower Hill station to Edgware Road station by the District line.
Distance: around 20 miles.
