There's a Fox at the window
Stained Glass Gingerbread Biscuit
This week's #TwitterBakeAlong, set by Fox's, The Baking Nanna and Rob Allen, was to bake 'Stained Glass' biscuits to celebrate 100 years of Fox's glacier sweets. For this challenge our immediate thought was to do a stained glass window and we opted for a 1930s sunburst design. Our biscuit choice was a classic gingerbread, we made the whole recipe but divided the dough into two and popped half in the freezer to use at a later date. Rolling out the remaining dough, the sunburst design was cut out and the voids filled with crushed up Fox's Fruit Glaciers. As the biscuit bakes the sweets melt and then set to create the stained glass effect. We also made a few gingerbread people with the left over dough but they all went before a picture could be taken!
