St. Clement's 'Pork Pie' Cupcakes

#TwitterBakeAlong is back as The Great British Bake Off returns for Stand Up To Cancer

'Brought to you by Cancer Research UK and Channel 4, Stand Up To Cancer is an annual fundraising campaign that brings the UK together to accelerate progress in life-saving cancer research. Stand Up To Cancer takes developments in the labs and accelerates them into brand new tests and treatments for cancer patients who need them right now. Originating in the USA, Stand Up To Cancer launched in the UK in 2012 backed by a host of celebrities, all intent on showing cancer who’s boss.'

To achieve maximum baking participation The Baking Nanna and Robert Allen have tasked us with making any of the three bakes featured in Ep. 1 of Stand Up To Cancer's Bake Off; the 'signature' (12 identical cupcakes), the 'technical' (Crêpes Suzette) or the 'showstopper' (a 3D biscuit scene).

We couldn't resist getting in the comedy spirit, as well as celebrating British Pie Week, by making some pork pie inspired cupcakes. Don't worry, they're not pork flavoured and instead celebrate an end to cold days and dark nights with zingy orange and lemon.

There's only one thing left to say...

"Who ate all the pies, who ate all the pies...!!!"
