It's that time of year again when we just can't help but think of Christmas. A classic versatile ingredient that's guaranteed to get you in the festive spirit, mincemeat is an easy to prepare preserve that just gets better with age.
This truly vegetarian recipe is from the self-proclaimed domestic goddess herself, Nigella Lawson, although we found the recipe via the lovely Meanderings Through My Cookbook blog. Life is better with a little extra spice, so we couldn't help but go heavy on the flavourings. Of course it's all a matter of taste so tweak to suit your tastebuds, or match the contents of your cupboards.
