GMT: Greenwich Meridian Trail
Royal Observatory to Waltham Abbey
The Greenwich Meridian Trail is a long-distance walk which follows the line of the Prime Meridian. It was inaugurated in 2009 to coincide with the 125th anniversary of the Greenwich Meridian. The trail is a 273-mile walk along the length of England, starting in Peacehaven, East Sussex and ending at Sand Le Mere, East Yorkshire.
Today's walk followed a short section of the trail, starting at the Royal Observatory, Greenwich and then headed north to finish at Waltham Abbey, Essex.
