Fourpure Small Batch Showcase
A tiny white and blue picture spotted on Twitter. Two iconic beer logos. An ear of wheat. A stylised dog. And three magic words: Small. Batch. Showcase. Three little words that piqued our interest and sent us out into the wilds of East London on a cool November night. It was, of course, the Fourpure Small Batch Showcase hosted by the equally extraordinary folks of Brew Dog.
Despite only being three years old, stalwarts of the Bermondsey Beer Mile Fourpure have successfully established themselves as one of the big names in modern British brewing and led the market to accept canning as an acceptable method of delivering their beer to their customers in the very best condition possible.
Tonight, however, the beer was available in significantly greater quantities by way of chilled kegs and a happy crew from Fourpure and Brewdog Shoreditch to serve it up to some very eager customers.
It was a evening of triumphs and standout beers, one of which was the 'Kentucky Tripel'. This belgian style beer requires a readjustment of your beer brain. Our advice, drink wearing a bow tie and horn-rimmed glasses whilst doing your best impression of an intellectual.*
*Bow tie, glasses and acting skills not essential!
