Cinnamon Buns

Lets face it, on a lazy Sunday morning a bowl of muesli just isn't going to do and a full fry-up (unless you're hungover) is just too much hassle and too much washing up. You want something light but satisfying? Well how about a Cinnamon Bun?

These Nordic gems are a light and fluffy enriched bread dough with a sweet cinnamon swirl. They can be baked individually but great just popped into a cake or roasting tin to create an impressive tear-and-share delight. Taking inspiration from The Guardian's 'How to bake the perfect cinnamon buns' article we grabbed the store cupboard ingredients and got going - we just substituted the plain white flour for wholemeal (makes them healthier right?!?).

What's even better is that you can do all the 'hard work' the night before and as you are snoring away in bed, these little beauties can have a slow proof in the fridge. The next morning, just take them out, heat up your oven and pop them in - simple.
