Bag End Cookies
It’s come to that time again when we find ourselves with a huge array of bags of ‘odds and sods’ in the baking drawer, not enough of any individual ingredient to make something with, but throw them together and we can create our every changing Bag End Cookies.
As before we’ve used Martha Stewart's Mixed Fruit and Nut Cookies as the base, and replaced the suggested fruit and nut choices with our bag ends: desiccated coconut, dried apricots, sultanas, raisins, mixed peel, glacé ginger, peanuts, almonds, walnuts, cashew nuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds, golden linseeds, mini butterscotch pieces and milk chocolate chunks. We also spiced them up a little bit by adding some mixed spice, ground ginger and ground cinnamon.
